| at hand, which is itself off-topic to the thread. Unfortunately, most harness installation instructions are ignored when installing without a rollbar. Installing them to meet the criteria those people were talking about requires modifying the vehicle to a point most are not willing to do, especially if they're doing it for the "look". Installing a 5 pt harness for use in a street vehicle that sees no track duty tells me they're doing it for the "look". In which case they're most likely not going to go through the trouble of installing it "correctly". They and their passengers will be foolishly relying on an improperly installed safety device to keep them safe. If someone installs a 5 pt harness for track use, then they better be damned sure they know what is involved with correct installation. A rollbar goes a LONG way toward making sure a harness is installed correctly.
